The holiday season is upon us, and the Twin Counties are packed with events to get you into the holiday spirit! We’ve compiled a list of holiday markets, parades, tree lightings, and more so that you can plan for these great upcoming events.

  • Saturday, Nov. 18 | Jingle Mingle Artisan Market | 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. | Imperial Centre for the Arts & Sciences, Rocky Mount | Start your holiday shopping with handmade, unique items crafted by around 45 local vendors

  • Saturday, Nov 18 | Harrison Family YMCA Kick off into the Holidays | 2 – 4 p.m.| | Harrison Family YMCA, Rocky Mount | Snacks, arts & crafts, and watching A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving | Join on this day and receive a waived joining fee

  • Saturday, Nov 25 | Red Oak 6th annual Christmas Festival | 12 – 6 p.m. | Parade at 2 p.m. | Tree Lighting at the end of the event

  • Saturday, Nov. 25 | Tarboro Holiday Market | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. | 409 N Main St, Tarboro | Shop from local vendors showcasing handmade goods

  • Saturday, Nov. 25 | Holiday Vendor Fair | 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Small Shops Mall, 2916 Sunset Ave, Rocky Mount

  • Saturday, Nov. 25 | Tarboro’s Annual Tree Lighting & Caroling | 6 – 8 pm. | Courthouse Square, Tarboro | Featuring The Fantastic Shades of Harmony

  • Tuesday, Nov 28 | Lights of Love | UNC Health Nash | 5:30 p.m. | Donate by Nov. 17 to place a light or an ornament on the Christmas tree in honor or celebration of a loved one

  • Wednesday, Nov. 29 | Rocky Mount Mills 6th Annual Tower Lighting | 5 – 8 p.m. | Horse carriage rides, Santa, live music, The Grinch, and more!

  • Friday, Dec. 1 | City Lake Tree Lighting | 6 p.m. | Carriage rides, visit with Santa, inflatable play area, DJ, vendors


City Lake Park in Rocky Mount illuminated in 2022. City Lake Park will hold its tree lighting on Friday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m.
