Imperial Centre Announces 2023-2024 Theatre Schedule

The Imperial Centre for the Arts and Sciences has announced their upcoming shows for the 2023-2024 season. There are seven shows premiering over the next year. All of the shows except for You Wouldn’t Expect will occur at the Imperial Centre Theatre.

Season tickets are available that include all seven shows for $45 for adults and $35 for students and seniors. Visit imperialcentre.org or call 252-972-1266 for ticket information. Individual shows tickets are $11 for adults , $9 for students and seniors, and $7 for children 12 and under

The first show is Clue: On Stage, which will have performances on October 5-7 at 7:30 p.m. and on October 8 at 2 p.m.

The second show is Elf the Musical with performances on December 7-9 at 7:30 and December 10 at 2 p.m.

You Wouldn’t Expect will be performed at the Booker T. Theater on February 1-3 at 7:30 and on February 4 at 2 p.m.

Performances of 9 to 5: The Musical will be on March 1, 2, 8, and 9 at 7:30 p.m. and on March 3 and 10 at 2:00 p.m.

The fifth show is Harvey, and it will have performances on May 16, 17, and 18 at 7:30 p.m. and May 19 at 2:00 p.m.

June 2024 features the Youth Theatre Experience with performances of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka KIDS for students in grades K-7 on June 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m.

The final show of the 2023-2024 season will be Footloose: The Musical. Performances of Footloose will be on July 18, 19, and 20 and 7:30 p.m. and July 20 at 2 p.m.

In addition to providing great entertainment the performances allow community members to express their creative talents.

Each of the 2023-2024 shows will hold auditions on the following dates:

Clue: On Stage | August 7-8 | 6:30–8:30 p.m

Elf the Musical | Oct. 9-10 | 6:30–8:30 p.m.

You Wouldn’t Expect | Oct. 18–19 | 6:30–8:30 p.m.

9 to 5: The Musical | Dec. 13–14 | 6:30–8:30 p.m.

Harvey | March 19-20 | 6:30–8:30 p.m.

Footloose: The Musical | May 29-30 | 6:30–8:30 p.m.

The Imperial Centre Theatre closes out the 2022-2023 season this weekend with Youth Summer Experience performances of Little Shop of Horrors. Performances will be Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. The cast features students in grades 8–12.
