Local markets are a great way to find quality, locally grown produce and items from local crafters. The Twin Counties have several local markets at different times and locations to suit your needs.
Nash County Farmers Market | 1006 Peachtree St, Rocky Mount
Hours: Tuesday 3–6 p.m. (May–July) and Saturday 8 am.–1 p.m. (April– December)
Get local produce, meats, seafood, baked goods, craft goods, craft beer, and more.
The Tuesday market offers a great selection if you need some mid-week items. The Saturday market offers a wider selection and often host food trucks and live music. See the Full vendor list here.
While the market is open weekly, they also have special events periodically.

Nashville Farmers Market | 723 S Barnes St., Nashville
Hours: Every Friday 3–7 p.m. April 21– October 13
Get local produce, meats, cheeses, flowers, baked goods, coffee, craft goods, and more. The Nashville Farmers Market often has live music and food trucks as well.

Tarboro Market | 526 N Main St., Tarboro
Hours: Every first and third Saturday, 10 a.m. 2–p.m.
Pick up plants, jams, local produce, eggs, baked goods, artwork, craft goods, and more. The Tarboro Market also hosts local food trucks
Whitakers Farmers Market | 101 S. White St., Whitakers
Hours: Friday, 3–6 p.m. June–September/October (depending on vendor availability)
The Whitakers market features homemade breads, cookies, cakes, plants, packaged ham and hoop cheese, and local vegetables as available. They also have food trucks and burgers and hot dogs available once or twice a month, and the funds support Whitakers Revitalize and Preserve.
