Following the resounding success of the first Downtown Date Night Experience, the Rocky Mount Event Center, in collaboration with the Rocky Mount Parks & Recreation Athletic Department, is bringing the magic of New Orleans to Rocky Mount. On Friday, September 20, "Downtown Date Night Part II: A Night in New Orleans" will kick off the annual Down East Viking Classic weekend with unforgettable live performances, gourmet cuisine, and the spirit of Mardi Gras.

The event's headliner is none other than the world-renowned New Orleans-based band, Brass-A-Holics. Known for their electrifying blend of traditional New Orleans brass and Washington D.C.'s go-go funk, Brass-A-Holics has captivated audiences worldwide since 2010. With a unique lineup featuring trumpet, trombone, saxophone, full drum set, percussion, keyboard, bass, and electric guitar, their sound is as dynamic as it is soulful. Whether they're performing original pieces or reinventing pop hits with fiery improvisations, the Brass-A-Holics promise a high-energy performance that will bring the crowd together in a shared, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Joining the lineup for the evening is Raleigh-Durham’s own NiiTO. The North Carolina-based neo-soul band, a crowd favorite from the previous Downtown Date Night, is back by popular demand. Known for their genre-defying sound, NiiTO blends elements of R&B, pop, funk, jazz, and blues, creating a musical journey that resonates with a wide array of listeners.
