After only its second year of operation, Southside Academy has been awarded Foundational Accreditation by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). This prestigious accreditation is a significant achievement for Southside Academy and the community the school serves.

Southside Academy, a private Christian school located in South Rocky Mount, serves children from under-resourced households in the area. Committed to providing a Classical Model of education, the school is currently enrolling students from Kindergarten to 3rd grade for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year, with plans to add a grade level each subsequent year.

Breona Walker, the Head of School at Southside Academy, spearheaded the accreditation efforts. "This accreditation is a major milestone for our school," said Walker.
