Out of the Box Date Night Ideas this Winter

Amidst the hustle and bustle, it's easy to fall out of the routine of traditional date nights. Break free from the ordinary and explore the realm of out-of-the-box date night ideas. Whether you're a new couple or have celebrated countless holidays together, these creative suggestions will not only add a spark to your relationship but also create lasting memories that will make this holiday season truly special.

Social District in Tarboro & Holiday ShoppingAside from copious amounts of charm, downtown Tarboro offers adults a new and exciting way to holiday shop this year! Why not take advantage of Tarboro’s social district, plan a date night, and knock out some holiday shopping while enjoying a nice cocktail? Don’t forget to pick up that new One the Square Cookbook! It’s a great gift idea!

A Saturday Wine Tasting at On the Square Skip the afternoon at Chucky Cheese and Join On the Square for their wine tasting on the last Saturday of every month from 1:30-3:30 pm. $5 per person, unless you buy a bottle.

Appetizer CrawlThis is my favorite way to eat out - trying lots of different little plates! It's like creating your version of tapas right here in the Twin Counties!  Here are a couple of our favorites:

  • Lou Reda’s for their Calamari & Shrimp appetizer & an Old Fashioned

  • Shuckin’ Shack for their crab ball appetizers & Old Bay Wings

  • Prime Smokehouse:  Shrimp & Grits or the Crab cake appetizer & Ornette’s Old Fashioned

  • On the Square: Mussels & a nice wine pairing

There are so many options!

Take a Cooking Class! Nash Community College offers a variety of cooking classes that would be a blast! The Imperial Center has a great variety of classes for not just adults, but for the whole family too!

Getaway for the Weekend We’ve compiled a list of six getaways that are within two hours of the Twin Counties – check them out here!

Stay at the Tiny House Hotel Have a staycation and rent one of the tiny homes at River and Twine. You can eat dinner at the Prime and walk back for a fire pit before bed.

This holiday season, give the gift of extraordinary experiences and watch as your relationship flourishes amidst the enchanting backdrop of festive cheer. Cheers to love, laughter, and a holiday season filled with unforgettable date nights!
