The excitement is building as the Rocky Mount Event Center, in partnership with Rocky Mount Parks and Recreation, gears up to host the 4th Annual Rocky Mount Summer High School Jamboree, presented by Choice FM. This highly anticipated event, set for Tuesday, June 25th and Wednesday, June 26th, has grown tremendously over the past four years and is now a significant highlight in our community's calendar.

From its modest beginnings with just 18 teams in 2021, the Jamboree has expanded to feature 56 junior varsity and varsity teams from 18 counties across North Carolina. This year’s roster is a testament to the event’s rising popularity and the excellence of the Rocky Mount Event Center as a premier sports venue. The growth of the Jamboree not only reflects the increasing competitiveness of the event but also underscores the vital role the Event Center plays in driving regional growth and economic prosperity.

Basketball enthusiasts will be thrilled to witness the fierce competition among teams from counties including Nash, Edgecombe, Pitt, Martin, Hertford, and more. This two-day extravaganza will feature games on seven state-of-the-art courts, providing ample opportunity for fans to cheer on their favorite teams.

The Rocky Mount Summer High School Jamboree is more than just a basketball tournament; it’s a community celebration. Attendees of all ages will enjoy a variety of activities beyond the court. The Game Day Adventure & Arcade will be open, offering an aerial ropes course, themed climbing walls, arcade games, and a soft play area. Additionally, Level Up Gaming Theater will provide a mobile video game experience, and a bounce house will keep younger attendees entertained.

Guests can savor a wide array of food options from the concessions, including adult beverages. Choice FM 92.1, the event’s sponsor, will enhance the atmosphere with live music, a DJ, and exciting giveaways. They will also present awards for the best male and female players, as well as the overall winners in both categories.
