Fall has arrived in the Twin Counties, and with it comes the excitement of pumpkin patches, hayrides, and seasonal fun. Whether you're searching for the perfect pumpkin to carve or looking for a family-friendly fall outing, these local pumpkin patches offer something for everyone. Here are a few you should check out this October!
Located at 7413 Red Oak Blvd in Rocky Mount, Fisher Pumpkin Farm is open Fridays from 12pm to 6pm, Saturdays from 10am to 6pm, and Sundays from 1pm to 6pm throughout October. While admission is free, you can enjoy hayrides and a wide selection of specialty pumpkins at an additional cost. Don’t miss their Family Farm Festival on October 26th from 10:30am to 6pm. The event will feature hayrides, live sheep shearing, kids' games, food, ice cream, and animals. Just remember to bring cash, as the event is cash-only!
Wollett Mill Pond Pumpkin Patch & Fall Market
Located at 9965 Red Oak Road in Whitakers, NC, Wollett Mill Pond Venue is holding its final Pumpkin Patch & Fall Market on October 26th from 9am to 4pm. This event is a great opportunity to pick up pumpkins, enjoy local crafts, and shop from a variety of vendors. If you’re looking for a laid-back, family-friendly market atmosphere, this is the place to go.
Located at 1342 Raccoon Branch Road in Tarboro, NC, Miller’s Pumpkin Patch is perfect for anyone looking to pick up locally grown pumpkins/other fall decor of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Their fall hours are:
-Tuesday: 4pm- 6pm
-Friday: 1pm- 5pm
-Saturday: 10am- 3pm
-Sunday: 1pm- 4pm
This small, family-run farm is a hidden gem where you can select the perfect pumpkin for your home and support local agriculture.
If you’re in or near Nashville, M & H Edwards Farm at 1157 Old White Oak Road is a great stop for both pumpkins and fresh produce. The farm is open during October on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 2pm to 5pm, Saturdays from 11am to 3pm, and Sundays from 2pm to 5pm. Here, you can find not only pumpkins but also fresh lettuce, sweet potatoes, crowder peas, pears, and local honey.
M & H Edwards Farm also offers a unique Pumpkin Promise—if you purchase a pumpkin and it rots before carving or puncturing, they’ll replace it free of charge.
